Maintaining a saree is a tough task today. With so many variations in fabric and designs, it is utmost important to take care of it accordingly. When you buy value for money, you expect that the product is durable. To make it durable especially designer chiffon sarees you need to take care of it. All sarees are different and therefore you cannot use one formula to wash or maintain a saree. It depends on the type of fabrics and designs.
In this article, we will talk in brief about how to maintain a chiffon saree. Since chiffon is very thin and many trending sarees belong to chiffon. Here are to do list to maintain a saree;
1. Washing instructions: It is recommended not to use the washing machine for chiffon sarees. The delicate fabric needs extra care, therefore instead of washing machine you have to wash it by hand. Fill the tub with lukewarm water and soak chiffon saree for half an hour. Remove the saree and don’t wring it. Place it on a towel and push down the towel to remove excess water.
2. Dry Ironing: Don’t press iron hardly on the fabric else it will be starched thus wrecking the whole saree. Keep moving the iron smoothly on the fabric. Don’t place it in one place for a long time.
3. Storing Chiffon Saree: Use the padded hanger to store chiffon sarees. In every interval change the folding of the saree. While wearing doesn't push it tightly and use pins cautiously.
